Loss prevention

Every intervention and every recovery, documented and valued.

Floor staff record the person, the products, and the evidence in one flow. The recovery is valued, and the chain recognizes repeat cases across stores.

What is included

  • Guided record: general information, people, products, and report
  • Merchandise recovery flow with no person detained
  • Person file with ID, details, and photos
  • Products with SKU, barcode, area, quantity, and amount
  • Person-of-interest lookup by name or ID
  • Checkout errors: uncharged items, wrong dispatch, and shortages or overages
  • Warehouse incident with site, waybill, claim, warehouse lead, and prevention officer
  • Customer traffic by store and day of the week
  • Shift log: fire scare, flooding, biosafety, crime, or other events, with staff, a visitor, or an injured person
  • Reports and statistics by site

What it changes

What changes in the operation once the process is recorded.

One file per case

People, products, and evidence stay in the same record. The supervisor does not rebuild the shift the next day.

Measurable recovery

What was recovered, at which site, and for how much. The area's impact is no longer an estimate.

The chain remembers

The lookup of people involved spans stores. The next site does not start from zero.

Functional detail

Scope of the solution

A solution for loss-prevention teams in multi-store chains. It covers interventions with third parties and employees, merchandise recovery, and lookups of persons of interest. Each case holds the site, date, status, officers, people with ID and photos, and products with SKU, barcode, quantity, and amount. It includes lists by period and site, export, a printable report, statistics, and a link to the legal file when a case escalates. It also records three checkout errors —items not charged, wrong dispatch, and cash shortages or overages—, warehouse incidents with site, waybill, claim number, warehouse lead, and prevention officer, customer traffic by store and day of the week, and the shift log: fire scare, flooding, biosafety, crime, or other events, identifying staff, a visitor, or an injured person.

Impact estimate

An order of magnitude to support the internal evaluation.

It does not replace your team's analysis. It sizes, with your own figures, what shrinkage represents and what share is reasonable to recover by documenting and valuing each case.

Projected recovery
$300,000
  • Estimated annual loss from shrinkage$1,200,000
  • Administrative and legal hours avoided1,800 h/year
